The Philosophy

From the beginning,

our founding philosophy was to make Wine and Sparkling Wine that we, my wife and myself and our friends, could enthusiastically drink and enjoy. The extensive work in the steep vineyards of Rüdesheim and Assmannshausen must still be fun, regardless of the intense effort – then and only then can we make Riesling wines and Pinot noirs which are truly unique. And upon enjoying the wines, we think you will be convinced of this, too!

Riesling Sekt – the Foundation of our Sekthouse

Wines from the most varied Vineyard in the Rheingau were called upon create our Assemblage: subtile and delicate notes from Lorch, elegant and mineral-like tones from Rüdesheim hillside vineyards, fruity and somewhat lighter aromas from Geisenheim, Johannisberg and the town of Winkel, and the powerful, earthy character from Hochheim.

Rosé Sekt

This wine enjoys a growing popularity among the range of wines offered by Sekthaus Solter. In this wine two different regions come together in one Assemblage. The first is a Roséwine from the Kaiserstuhl, which tastes very exciting, yet supple. The other is a delicately fruity Roséwine from Assmannshausen and Rüdesheim with characteristically elegant acidity. This Rosé composition is unique in Gemany.

Pinot - The PrestigeCuveé from Sekthaus Solter

Pinots noir, blanc and gris from the Kaiserstuhl, Pinot noir and blanc from the Rheingau – these grapes compose the Assemblage of our top Sparkling Wine. The Pinot gris, as well as a portion of the Pinot noir, are fermented and aged in Barriques. The basis wines for our Prestige-Cuvée have very ripe “late-harvest” character. As a result, they are elegant fruity, since only absolutely healthy grapes are used for the wine.
