The History
Sekthouse Solter
Born in Bischoffingen in the western Kaiserstuhl, Helmut Solter has put his early days as the son of a winemaking and restaurateuring family to good use.
After internships and travels ranging from Champagne to Australia, in addition to obtaining a winemaking and oenology degree at the well-known Fachhochschule Geisenheim, he founded his own Sekt cellars.
In 1995, along with his wife Verena, also a graduate of the Fachhochschule in Geisenheim, the cellars moved to their present location in Rüdesheim, a building where Johannes Brahms stayed many long weeks during his summer vacations.
